Delivery information

Orders are normally shipped within one to two working days, although we do try and ship on the same day where possible, with expected delivery being within 2-4 working days (UK) or 5-9 working days (International) from the date of order placement. We also offer a next working day delivery service should it be required (UK only). Please note; working day refers to weekdays - Monday to Friday, and does not cover Saturday or Sunday or UK bank holidays.

In the event that all or part of your order is not in stock, we shall inform you by e-mail as soon as possible. Non-stock items normally ship within 7-10 days. We will endeavour to keep you regularly updated on any non-stock items ordered and that are on back order for more than 10 days. We shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to achieve any delivery or other date, all dates being estimates only.

All packages are covered by transit insurance for a period of 28 days from the date of shipment. In the case of any damage or instances of delivery failure you MUST inform us within 21 days of the date of shipment. You should email us via our contact page clearly stating your order number, together with details of the problem. Failure to notify us may result in your package no longer being covered by insurance, and consequently the liability for loss or damage will have to be borne by you. Deliveries will be made to the delivery address provided by you during checkout, you may select a different delivery address to your billing address if required. (e.g. a work address etc.)

Delivery/Shipping Charges

Delivery/Shipping charges are calculated at the shopping basket page, based on location, weight of the product including packaging, volumetric weight if applicable and necessary insurance coverage and handling charges. You can view the relevant shipping charges to your chosen destination easily by adding any product to your shopping basket and selecting your chosen delivery method, the shipping cost is then calculated.

International Shipping and large packages

In certain cases shipping prices quoted and/or charged may later be found to be insufficient to cover the costs of shipping orders internationally. This can be caused where the volumetric weight (package size) is substantially higher than the actual package weight. If this is the case we will contact you before shipping to inform you of any additional charges, you will then have the option of either paying these extra charges, using a less expensive shipping method, e.g. surface mail/freight or cancelling your order.

Undeliverable Orders

Orders that have been correctly despatched to the shipping address as supplied by you, and which are subsequently returned to us as undeliverable, whether by courier or postal service, are subject to a maximum refund of the value of the products ordered only, (not including shipping costs). Furthermore, you are also liable to pay any applicable return postage costs, as well as make further payment for re-shipment should this be required. To avoid this situation, you are strongly advised to double check that the shipping address you provide for your order is accurate.

VAT/Tax Charges

We (TMS Ltd t/a Volvopartshop.com) are registered in Great Britain for VAT/Tax. Registration Number 881 6690 84. All orders to destinations within the UK and/or EEC will have VAT/Tax added to the value of the order. If you are a VAT/Tax registered company within the EEC and can supply a valid VAT/Tax number we are able to remove the charges if you contact us prior to placing an order.

Orders shipped to non-EU destinations do not have to pay VAT/Tax. These are removed at the shopping basket, once you have selected your delivery country. Our prices do not include any customs duty and excise or any other local taxes for goods shipped outside the EU. All such duties and taxes shall be paid by you.

Cancellation/UK Returns

As a UK customer, you have a statutory right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt. (This right does not apply for any non-defective ECU or RICA isoftloader upgrades that have been specifically programmed for your vehicle, these items are not returnable under any circumstances.)

To arrange a return please click here to go to our return request page, where you can fill out a simple return form. Once we have authorised your return, we will issue you with a returns merchant authorisation (RMA) number. You must then return the goods back to us at the address below within 14 days, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item back to us. Any goods not returned within a 14 day period following the issue of your RMA number may be subject to additional charges or in certain circumstances become non-refundable. When returning goods, please state your full name and address and the RMA number you have been issued with so we can identify your order. Any order returned to us without this information may be refused and will cause a delay in a refund. You have until the expiry of seven working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, bank holidays and public holidays), starting with the day after the products are delivered, to exercise this right. If you exercise your right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, any money you have paid for your order and shipping charges will be refunded. (Shipping charges will only be refunded at our standard UK shipping rate, and any charges you incur by returning the items back to us will not be refunded.)

You must also take good care of the products until you return them to us. All items must be returned unused in their original packaging and in a saleable condition. All returns must be well packaged to protect items from damage in transit. Any damage that occurs in transit to us will be deemed to be the responsibility of you and any costs arising from this will be deducted from the refund. All returns should be sent using an insured postal service. We do not accept proof of postage as proof of delivery.

Special orders (i.e. those that have been ordered specifically for your vehicle and cannot be resold) cannot be cancelled or returned under any circumstances.

You shall inspect the products within 30 days of receipt, such period being confirmed by you to be a reasonable period to examine the products for defects or shortfalls, and notify us promptly of any non-conformance. Failure to notify us within that 30-day period will constitute acceptance of the products for all purposes.

Any faulty product(s) returned to us shall become our property. If we determine that failure of the product(s) was not a result of a defect in materials or workmanship within the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, we reserve the right not to refund, replace or exchange the product(s) free of charge.
